Video: A Living Room Makeover with $250 and Two Hours!

A quick room makeover can improve the selling price of your home.St. John's is home to a booming real estate market these days. But when selling your home, no matter what the market conditions are, you'll want to get the very best price that you can. Staging your home, or getting it ready to present to potential buyers, can help you do exactly that. By decorating your room or even just moving a few things around to highlight its best features, you can make your home more irresistible, and able to pull in a higher selling price.

Even if your home is not for sale, it can be well worth your time to give a room a makeover. Assign a budget and timeline, start looking online or in magazines or on TV for inspiration, and then dig in and see what you can create. The results can often surprise you, putting you into a whole new room in just a few hours.

That's what happened when Realtor Magazine gave one woman $250 and just two hours to redo a living room. How did it go? Watch the video below to see the room before and after, and maybe to pick up a few ideas for your living room. Then leave a comment to tell us about your room makeover project. Send a few pictures or even a video. Who knows... maybe we'll feature you next time!
